To celebrate the signing of a Collaboration Framework Agreement between the Universita Politecnica Delle Marche and CIrcular Influence, we thought some historic insight would be interesting, because the presence of a university in Ancona dates back to 1562.

It was in that year that the Pope Pius V, approved the first appearance of a university in town. For a century, a fervor of study flourished. Nevertheless, the wealthy families started to choose more famous “Studia” in Rome and Bologna and this culminated in the first closing of the “Studium” in 1739. The university continued to reopen and close until it found a stable opening in the 20th century that lasts until today.
