2021: The launch of Young Innovators
In 2020 we have become a partner of another exciting programme under the EIT Climate-KIC. This year, in 2021, Circular Influence introduces Young Innovators into Argentina and Uruguay.
This programme utilizes workshops, visual tools, challenge-based learning and a well-researched innovative methodology to train partners, teachers and educators who equip young people with the competencies and skills needed to become change-makers and drive systemic innovation and climate action.
So, how does Young Innovators differ from our other programmes?
It sparks curiosity and innovative thinking in the youngest members of our society.
We kicked off this programme in July 2021 with the first informative sessions where we explained how the programme works and why it is crucial to involve the education system in climate action. After recruiting enough schools we started our training sessions and workshops. For example, Adriana Cibelli, the President of the Buenos Aires Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Circular Influence partner, gave training on Project Management to the teachers of the schools in our community. We also covered topics such as Sytems Thinking & Innovation for Climate Action in our other webinars.
Right now, we are recruiting more and more schools from Argentina and Uruguay. In the following months, we will be hosting various workshops and training sessions for teachers and educators so that the next generation is prepared to take action towards a sustainable society.
