AGENDA

  • Presentation training and pitch monitoring: 09/24 to 10/24
  • Young Climathon: 26/10, the event will be held in Rosario during Climate Week.

Young Climathon is a community event that is celebrated during the same day, the students who prepared the presentation of their project expose in front of the international jury of Circular Influence (the projects pitching can be exposed virtual or presencially in English or Spanish as you like). The first 3 winners and the winner chosen by public vote win prizes! In addition, every participant receives a certificate of participation.

To do this, the participants in the program will have to solve real challenges that come directly from their community, from their local ecosystem. These challenges can cover a wide variety of topics: responsible production and consumption, the circular economy, sustainable mobility; how to build more resilient cities or the challenge of sustainable food. By addressing these challenges in the classroom, students develop new skills while deepening their learning and increasing their chances to face an uncertain future.

This year, the event will be held in Rosario during Climate Week. The Young Climathon program is totally free.

Young Climathon is a stage in the Young Innovators program but this year we want to encourage participants who wants to join unaffiliated to their schools. Now students between 12 to 18 years old can be part of this competition without their school inscription and, of course, still join with a team.

Founded in 2020, Circular Influence® is a non-profit organization funded by individual and institutional donations. Circular Influence seeks to help the world accelerate the transition to a circular economy with NET-ZERO emissions based on systems thinking. Our actions are designed to achieve positive global sustainable impact as quickly, safely and equitably as possible.

Circular Influence is hosting the program for Argentina, Uruguay and Peru. We have been working together with Young Innovators and Climate-KIC to train teachers and educators since 2021. We are partners and members of the EIT Climate-KIC, European Institute of Innovation & Technology, co-funded by the European Union, and with their support we identify and help to develop innovative ideas that are capable to mitigate the global warming and fight climate change.

The following topics were based on projects last year:

  • Agriculture - uses and usufructs of agriculture.
  • Sustainable mobility: renewable energies, electric vehicles, sustainable mobility infrastructure.
