On the 24th and 25th of September, our startups competed at the Regional Final of Climate Launchpad for the countries of the Americas.

Each country from the American region was represented by three startups. The nominees from each National Finals were selected and put to test against the other most successful teams in the region. In 2021, there were altogether seven participating countries, out of which, Circular Influence proudly guided innovators from Argentina, Uruguay and Peru. On top of these countries, our teams faced competition from Brazil, Colombia, Jamaica and Mexico.

The winners from Circular Influence in Americas this year were:

VACACA

ECOPOWER

GENESIS HYDROKINETIC

TRACESURFER

VIAJEROMARKET

The event was divided into 4 blocks depending on the target issue, Sustainable Mobility & Food System, Circular Economy & Urban Solutions, Clean Energy & The Next Big Thing and Adaptation & Resilience.

The Circular Influence team was truly thrilled to hear the amazing results confirming that all of our teams were nominated to the Global Grand Final, which will place them next to the world’s créme de la créme of climate action.

This is how our teams will compete at the Global Grand Final  in October:

Sustainable Mobility: EcoPower

Clean Energy: Genesis Hydrokinetic

Adaptation & Resilience: Viajero Market

Circular Economies: Trace Surfer & Vacaca

All the teams deserve a great round of applause for working so diligently until this point and we can only cheer them on even more so now that they enter the real competition of the whole world.
