During the weekend of 4th and 5th of September, the Circular Influence team hosted our second edition of the Climate Launchpad National Finals.
This was a very exciting event for all 32 teams, the coaches, the jury as well as the CI staff. After many months of training, webinars, online courses and rehearsals, the teams presented their pitches and faced challenging questions from our jury members. This year’s startups were judged by Natascha Weisert, Matteo Gasperi, Thierry Paulmier, Marcos Acle Mautone, Griselda Lassaga and Eric de Raemy.
On Saturday, we opened the event with a speech by the founder of Circular Influence, Juliette Coca which was followed by short messages from our four keynote speakers: Father Alfonso Gómez Boulin, Gian Luca Gregori, Donato Iacobucci and Cecilia Rossel.
On the first day, we presented 8 pitches from Italy and 9 pitches from Argentina. Both blocks were accompanied by an interview with experts from various fields. Firstly we listened to Donato Iacobucci again from the Polytechnic University of Marche and then to Gisella Veritier from the Catholic University of Córdoba.
On Sunday, 8 pitches both from Uruguay and Peru were shown to the jury. Once again, we then enjoyed interviews with Innovation Expert Sara Goldberg Cohen and a Homo Emoticus trainer and CI executive Board member Thierry Paulmier.
With all pitches presented and points counted, we knew the winners of the 2021 Climate Launchpad for each country:
