Our teams have gone through an eventful journey this year since the inscriptions opened on the 1st of March 2021.
Starting on the 19th of April the teams attended informative webinars held once a week, getting to know the methodology, ideas and prizes of the programme.
The last chance for the inscription of participants was held on the 27th of June for Argentina, Uruguay and Peru. Italian teams had a longer inscription period until the 15th of July.
The first step of the Climate Launchpad was an online course. During this 1 day course, each participant could access educational material to learn more about entrepreneurship as well as climate change.
The second step was an intensive Bootcamp in various languages. Our coaches Hans Westerhof and Israel Griol Barres provided insights into boosting the teams’ businesses.
Throughout the month of July, each team spent 3 days and 5 hours per day learning about business strategies from these experienced professionals.
The third step put the teams through 6 intensive follow up modules. Starting in July and finishing in August, the teams spent 2 hours twice a week, developing their pitches, business models and value propositions. Each module was dedicated to a specific topic such as Customer Discovery, Assumptions, Experiment Design, Competitive Advantage, JTBD and Pitch Preparation.
Before embarking on the final stretch of the competition, teams are also participating in the public choice award. This award was initiated on the 10th of August, allowing citizens to select their favourite idea out of all the teams and with this provides a push up to the winning team.
In order to be truly ready for their final pitch, teams also took part in practice sessions where their coach acts as the jury to critically evaluate their pitch and business plan.
And now, the teams can finally display their hard work over the last months in the National Finals. This event is held between the 4th and 5th of September where each team will present the Jury with their pitch. Additionally, Circular Influence is providing a live recording of this event so that anyone can witness this exciting competition in real-time and see which team will be nominated for the Regional Finals.
