Circular Influence hosted the 2020 National Finals of the Climate Launchpad on the 10th of September. This was our first edition of this programme and it was already a great success.
We introduced 12 startups from Argentina and Uruguay of whom some even made it to the Global Grand Final and were selected amongst other finalists from all around the world.
Matias and Javier took all participants through the event. After a short introduction, we listened to a speech by the Circular Influence founder and president, Juliette Coca which was followed by the presentation of our Jury. The startups were examined by the careful eye of Natascha Weisert, Eric De Raemy, Marcos Acle Mautone, Griselda Lassaga, Eduardo Escobedo and Thierry Paulmier.
After presenting the prizes, all teams started pitching to the panel. These were 10 teams from Argentina and 2 teams from Uruguay in 2020. All pitches that the teams had been working on for many weeks were followed by an interview with the Jury where additional questions could be answered to clarify the startup’s business model. This section was closed off by messages from our keynote speakers: Adriana Cibelli and Maria Belen Aliciardi.
And finally, the winners of the 2020 Climate Launchpad could be announced:

In conclusion, the Climate Launchpad is not an effortless programme. It requires many hours spent in training, seminars and practice. Each team perfects their idea for many weeks and our coaches continuously give these young entrepreneurs their best effort. However, the National Finals is where all this dedication shows and shines. It is a pleasure for Circular Influence to guide the teams through this journey and provide the platform to transform their ideas into a reality. It will be just as exciting in the next years of Climate Launchpad to come!
